Respected organizations such as Dave Fromer Soccer have made a profound and enduring positive impact on the youth in Marin communities over the span of decades. Dave Fromer, a legendary figure in Marin, has been a driving force behind soccer development, influencing over 80,000 young individuals since 1978. His genuine affection for all youth and his deep passion for the beautiful game of soccer have had a positive impact on kids of all ages, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds, inspiring them to be the best version of themselves. Through his remarkable organization, Dave Fromer has not only shared his love for soccer but has also spread joy and fostered unity, inspiring countless young individuals in their own lifelong passion for soccer.
Play Marin, an equally impactful Marin based nonprofit organization, has provided opportunities for children of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds in southern Marin to grow and learn together through play. Addressing the racial and socioeconomic disparities within Marin County through sports and play has been an effective way to make a difference for these kids and we admire the tireless and selfless work Play Marin is known for. Founder Paul Austin has been incredibly successful in engaging communities to bring meaningful opportunities for kids to connect. Managed and operated primarily by an impressive, highly qualified and resourceful group of volunteers, Play Marin continues to bring unique experiences to kids from a community who has so little. A heartfelt thank you to Paul and the entire Play Marin team for their outstanding contributions.
